
Stracciatella Gelato
It is safe to say that Stracciatella (strass – e – ah – tell – ah) Gelato is infinitely easier to eat than it is to pronounce.
You might think that like most chocolate chip desserts, we just opened a bag of chocolate chips and dumped them in. Think again. This is chocolate chip, the Gelato Fiasco way.
Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate is drizzled between layers of fresh vanilla base and patiently allowed to harden. Our gelato artisans break up the chocolate with ironically loving stabs from a gelato spatula. The result? A creamy base laced with ribbons of hardened chocolate, offering a perfect ratio in each bite.
Often served alone, Stracciatella Gelato also goes well in a half-and-half combination with Espresso Chip Gelato or any chocolate flavor.
