Mission Title: Gelato Servers
Status: Full-Time, Part-Time, Seasonal
Location: Portland or Brunswick, Maine
Do you love gelato or coffee? Are you outgoing? Do you enjoy connecting with customers and exceeding their expectations? Read on. We’re seeking service team members to offer gelato samples and recommendations, stylize gelato pans, scoop dishes, make mind-blowing coffee and espresso, meticulously clean every chance you can, and, most importantly, brighten customers’ days. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of the front of our store, with a constant focus on making a memorable, high-quality experience for customers. If you love to make people happy, this is the job for you.
Minimum Requirements:
- One year of customer service experience preferred, but not required. A desire to work diligently in a fast-paced environment and unshakable attention to customers’ needs is what we seek most.
- Must have a team-oriented mindset. Trust us.
- Being “coachable” is absolutely required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be warm, friendly, confident, and willing to give 110% every time to make every customer and your fellow team members feel like a million bucks.
Skills/Abilities Required:
- Strong desire to serve the highest quality products with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate calmly and effectively with co-workers and customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Near-religious devotion to delighting customers.
- Desire to exceed customers’ expectations and fully participate in the theater of our work.
- You may be called upon to help our kitchen run smoothly, so the ability to transition into different roles is important.
- Ability to quickly learn the ways of customer service at The Gelato Fiasco.
- Neat freaks and people who might be compulsive about cleaning are encouraged to apply.
