Who wrote that mildly clever joke on our Facebook Page? This guy!
Tell us about yourself.
I’m a writer by trade. I’m a lifelong Mainer and stayed in Brunswick after college at Bowdoin, and I manage our communications and store experience. If you follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or by email, that’s usually me commenting, posting pictures, or otherwise trying to figure out what will make you laugh today.
Outside of work, I dabble in various things. I read a lot. Mostly non-fiction and newspapers; I get the Times on my Kindle. I play tennis and squash. My favorite nongelato places in Maine are Popham, Reed, and Acadia National Park, and I try to get to them whenever I can.
What’s your favorite gelato flavor?
Any flavor that has nuts fused with chocolate gets my vote. Chocolate Almond Gelato is fantastic, and Peanut Butter Cup Gelato is another favorite.
What do you drink?
I shoot for three cups of tea each day. My current top choices from our loose-leaf selection are Garden of Eden Black Tea and the Jasmine Blueberry Green Tea, taken straight. If I’m looking for something cold, I go for our unsweetened Iced Tea.
What’s your favorite vegetable?
I enjoy baby spinach. Dr. Oz would be proud.
If you were a superhero, whom would you be?
Superman. He’s generally content and has a pretty good gig: journalist during the day, and champion of Metropolis after a costume change.
What’s your Gelato Fiasco fantasy?
Cameo appearance by the Flagship Store in a major motion picture or book. Hopefully someday J.K. will write another Harry Potter book, and dispatch Harry, Hermione, and Ron to The Gelato Fiasco for some Butterbeer Sorbetto. They might even find some magical elements here.
