What do you like to do?
I like almost every outdoor sport, like skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and hiking and kayaking in the summertime. Anywhere in western Maine is fair game.
What flavor of The Gelato Fiasco would you like to have waiting for you at the summit of a mountain that you’re hiking?
Mascarpone Caramel Pistachio Gelato. It’s got everything – nuts, caramel, cheese. Can’t go wrong with cheese.
And your favorite Gelato Fiasco drink?
I like a Chai Latte. I’m not a coffee drinker. Instead, I’m a tea drinker. And the Chai Latte offers something a little different from what you can make at home.
If you were a superhero, who would you be?
Batman. He doesn’t have any actual superpowers, but he’s still a superhero. I’ve always been kind of a science type of person. And other than the millionaire part, he’s kind of an everyman.
Do you have a top vegetable?
Beets. I’ve actually grown them, and they’re a lot of work to process. You have to boil and peel them. But once you go through the effort, it’s worth it.
What’s your Gelato Fiasco fantasy?
I’m very into Celtic heritage. I go to the Maine Celtic festivals. I’d love to walk into our store sometime and see a whole line of people in kilts. That’d be awesome.
