Most people think of The Gelato Fiasco as a place to get dessert — but coffee aficionados in Brunswick also know that we’re serious about making really good coffee and espresso drinks. And since we’re open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week, we’re the only coffeehouse in Brunswick that’s ready to serve you day or night. Our store offers free wifi and comfy seating and deplores ironic detachment.
Coffee from The Gelato Fiasco is:
- Custom brewed just for you using the Hario single-brew system.
- Created from coffee beans roasted by Wicked Joe Roasting of Brunswick. Nearly all of our roast choices are organic. Our signature roast, God of Thunder, is absurdly strong and exclusive to our store.
- Happily created to your specifications. We only hire people who are serious about making a superior drink and dessert experience, and each of our staff members genuinely wants to answer your questions and see you satisfied.
We use the Hario single-brew system to custom brew each cup. Here’s how the process works:
- You select the roast of your choice, which we grind fresh daily.
- Those grounds are put into a filter that sits within the Hario funnel.
- We pour hot water into the grounds using carefully designed concentric motions.
- Your coffee slowly drips out of the funnel system and into your cup.
The process takes approximately two minutes, but it creates a strong, fresh coffee experience that’s better than anything sitting in a coffee pot.
We also offer a full-service espresso bar. Our specialties include:
- Single, double, and triple shots.
- Full variety of latte drinks.
- Iced coffee, created from our signature Aurora Borealis Iced Coffee Roast.
- Several blends of organic loose-leaf tea.
- Real iced tea, made from our organic Eden loose-leaf blend.
- European drinking chocolate.
