Spending 36 Hours in Portland, Maine? Make it 37

This Sunday’s edition of The New York Times contains a great article, “36 Hours in Portland, Maine.” It’s currently the No. 1 most-emailed article in the travel section, and it’s bound to bring lots of citydwellers to our state.

If you’re using the article to plan your next visit to Portland, make sure to add an hour to check out one of the many partners who carry our products — including Bard Coffee, which scoops our gelato fresh in the heart of the Old Port. All together, you can find gelato in dishes, pints, and on restaurant menus at 16 places within the city limits. As always, our gelato is made from scratch using Maine milk and real ingredients in Brunswick.

And if you can make your trip 38 hours, take the 30-minute trip to Brunswick to try The Gelato Fiasco at the source. Our Flagship Store is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day year-round. We have been called Maine’s premier Italian gelateria, and travelers from around the United States (and the world!) often tell us The Gelato Fiasco is the best they’ve ever had.
