Sweet Weekend in the Old Port
May 10, 11, and 12
The Gelato Fiasco Old Port and Nine Other Old Port Sweet Stops

A day out in Portland’s Old Port could be your ticket to exciting prizes and sweet summer rewards. Ten of Portland’s sweetest retailers (think cookies, cakes, frozen desserts, and macarons) are partnering together to bring you Sweet Weekend in the Old Port.

Here’s how it works: Pick up a Sweet Passport at any of the partner businesses (see the list here). Visit eight of the ten businesses and get your Sweet Passport stamped along the way by the close of business on Sunday, May 12. Don’t worry, you won’t have to purchase anything to earn a stamp, although we’ve heard rumors that some stores may require you to perform other tasks for your stamp, such as suggesting a new flavor. Return your Sweet Passport to the business where you picked it up and redeem it for a Sweet Rewards card, which you can use for upgrades and rewards at all participating businesses.

Even better, you’ll be automatically entered into contests for cool prizes, like a chance to learn the art of gelato making from the seasoned pros at The Gelato Fiasco.

We’re making three special flavors, too. Try

  • Cluster Fudge Gelato with Old Port Candy Co. A fresh cream base with OPCC’s cluster fudge, which will have chocolate covered graham cracker, chunks of Butterfinger and Heath Bar.
  • Red Velvet Cupcake Gelato with East End Cupcakes: Cream cheese gelato with pieces of EEC’s red velvet cupcakes.
  • Hazelnut Dark Chocolate Gelato with Mornings in Paris. Inspired by Mornings In Paris’s Nutella latte.

Visit Sweet Weekend on Facebook to see all the details, which businesses are participating, and what you’ll earn for rewards and potential prizes.
