The Gelato Fiasco Flagship Store and The Gelato Fiasco Old Port

This flavor, first launched last year, is our take on Portland-based Tandem Coffee Roasters’ signature Malt Iced Coffee. Our pals at the East Bayside roastery blend freshly roasted coffee, a splash of milk, and a drizzle of extra-dark malt extract. (What is malt extract? It’s a traditional ingredient in beer brewing made from barley.) We were inspired by their neatly struck balance of bitter and sweet and worked with them to create a remarkably smooth gelato flavor.

It’s featured in Brunswick and the Old Port through Monday. You can also find this masterpiece in pints at some New England independent and specialty stores, at all Whole Foods Market stores in Northern California (wait. what? yes!), and online at shop.gelatofiasco.com.
